Leo Burnett and Imagination put a smile on many faces with this bright idea. Describing it as 'truly amazing work', Mumbrella Awards' 2019 jury declared Samsung the talking point of Vivid through its customised interactive involvement in this innovative concept. This is Leo Burnett's entry below, along with the judging criteria utilised to award it Best Use of Face to Face / Interaction Marketing Through Events.

With the launch of its latest flagship phone during a cluttered time for phone launches, it was going to be hard to make the new features of the Samsung Galaxy S9 stand out from the pack. Traditional advertising – TV, outdoor, digital – demonstrated its camera and slow-motion video credentials, but the AR Emoji feature was something that needed to be seen to be believed.
