Welcome to my first ever Best of the Week, written on a couch in my living room. I’m working from home, while my housemate, who is a triathlon-running nurse, packs her bag for a race this weekend and prepares for an evening shift on the emergency ward. As you can imagine, I keep my ‘what will I write Best of the Week on’ complaints far away from her. But she’s good to have around for perspective - when I’ve had a tough day at work because news broke at 4.59pm, she’s usually spent the early AM helping drunk car accident victims.
