Roblox Games appoints Venatus for in-game advertising

Venatus has won the rights for in-game advertising representation in Roblox Games.

Venatus, the global advertising technology platform focussed on gaming and entertainment, has announced a new and exclusive global partnership with Bloxbiz, the first dynamic in-game ad platform within Roblox. Founded in January 2021 by Sam Drozdov, CEO and Ben Khakshoor, CTO, Bloxbiz is on a mission to improve game developers’ economics by enabling advertisements within brand-safe Roblox game environments.

Roblox is a global platform where millions of people gather together every day to imagine, create, and share experiences in immersive, user-generated 3D worlds. It is free to download and free to play across mobile, tablet, desktop, and select consoles, reaching a growing Gen Z gaming audience.

Since going public earlier this month, Roblox’s value has soared to almost $40 billion. This valuation reflects the continued growth of gaming, while the pandemic has seen a surge in gamers. Newzoo predicts that gaming will continue to grow beyond the pandemic, with the industry expected to generate an impressive $217.9 billion in 2023.

Bloxbiz works exclusively with Roblox games, reaching over 10 million gamers each month across a collection of curated brand-safe games. Each game is selected based on performance metrics, genre, and team characteristics providing brands with the ability to reach granular audiences within Roblox. All in-game ads are carefully integrated to complement the gaming experience, allowing for natural discovery without interrupting gameplay. These in-game ads are measured through Bloxbiz’s advanced technology, which verifies viewability in a 3D space.

This latest exclusive partnership follows a year of 38% growth for Venatus, who now have a 60-strong team in offices spanning the UK, France, USA, Australia, Ukraine and South Korea. Commenting on the recent partnership, Rob Gay, CEO, Venatus, added:
