Seven’s Winter audience stabilises as Nine’s Forever continues to slip

winter_large_1aatvds-1aatvhpSeven has continued to extend its lead on rival Nine as the audience for locally produced drama Winter stabilised for the final episode and My Kitchen Rules continues to pull winning numbers, while Nine’s Forever continues to shed viewers and The Block: Triple Threat was out-rated by the ABC’s 7.30.

Last night Seven grabbed a share of 27.2 per cent as Nine only managed a share of 15.7 per cent. Ten is not too far behind with a share of 12.5 per cent as the ABC settled for a share of 11.5 per cent.

In the 9pm timeslot Winter posted an audience of 819,000, a modest increase on last week’s audience of 804,000. But the audience was down on its premiere which drew a metro crowd of 1.125m in early Feburary.

It easily out-rated Nine’s US crime drama Forever, which in the same timeslot saw its audience slip to 419,000 after 460,000 tuned in last week.

In time-shifted viewing, Winter was watched by an extra 186,000 viewers, taking last week’s audience to 989,000 and Forever picked up an extra 124,000 viewers taking its total audience to 579,000.

In the 7.30pm timeslot, My Kitchen Rules continues to dominate, pulling a metro audience of 1.575m while The Block: Triple Threat grabbed an audience of 638,000.

On Ten, the eviction of Joel Creasey and The Bachelor’s Anna Heinrich out-rated The Block, pulling in a metro audience of 680,000. The rest of the episode was watched by 620,000. The finals week double eviction did help boost the reality show’s audience from last week’s audience of 535,000.

My Kitchen Rules was the most-watched show across all the demographics while the eviction portion of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was the second-most watched show across all the demographics.

The ABC’s 7.30 managed to out-rate both The Block and the main portion of I’m a Celebrity, with a metro audience of 657,000.

Also on the ABC, QI at 8pm had an audience of 545,000 Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell at 8.30pm was watched by 623,000 and Judith Lucy is All Woman at 9.30pm grabbed 525,000 viewers.

Meanwhile on Ten, locally produced drama series Wonderland at 8.40pm boosted its audience to 494,000 after slumping to 373,000 last week. At 9.45pm The Good Wife was watched by 284,000.

In news, Nine News at 6pm just managed to win the night with a metro audience of 991,000, just ahead of Seven News’ audience of 990,000. In the 6.30pm timeslot Nine News was watched by 947,000 while Seven News or Today Tonight had a metro audience of 926,000.

On pay TV, The LifeStyle Channel’s Gogglebox Australia has continued to pick up viewers, posting an audience of 120,000, up from 116,000.
