Aaron Miller

National Director - Sport Partnerships, OMD Australia

With over 20 years’ media and marketing experience, Aaron has worked to develop a well-rounded skill set with a specific focus on sport and entertainment partnerships and integrated campaigns. Aaron has experience across a diverse portfolio of brands working both client and agency side specialising in the fast-paced retail and QSR categories.

Aaron joined OMD 8 years ago leading partnerships for key OMD clients across sport and entertainment from strategy through to implementation and evaluation. In 2018 he established a National Sports Partnership division within OMD with a purpose to help brands connect with fans through sport by creating better, more meaningful partnerships that stretch beyond traditional commercial placements and into hearts and minds. The award-winning team work with broadcasters, codes and clubs across a roster of brands including McDonald’s, Telstra, Suncorp Group brands and Coles.

Ant Hearne

Chief Commercial Officer, A-Leagues

Ant is the Chief Commercial Officer of Australian Professional Leagues, responsible for the marketing, scaling and commercialisation of professional football in Australia, under the A-Leagues brand.

Ant is an experienced business leader whose authentic leadership style brings energy and focus into any business. Attracted to purpose-driven organisations, his main skill is connecting that purpose with customers through a distinctive brand, and then building a performance-driven culture.

Since separation from Football Australia, Ant has led the commercial transformation of the code, redefining A-Leagues as an entertainment DTC business. He leads a team that has responsibility for all commercial revenue of APL - delivered through the Strategy, Product, Content, Marketing, Sales and Partner Success team.

In the first 12 months, the team has delivered significant milestones including a new brand architecture, building a new digital platform (KEEPUP), finalising and delivering a $200m+ broadcast deal with 10 ViacomCBS, and helping to secure more than $140m in private equity funding.

Ant has previous experience scaling consumer digital subscription businesses with Kayo Sport, Watch NRL & AFL and Binge. His career incorporates senior roles in telco, digital media, marketing tech & sports entertainment. 

Ben Knighton

Head of Global Brand & Consumer Marketing, Visit Victoria

Ben is an experienced integrated marketer with a proven track record realising campaigns for well-known brands and top agencies in Australia and UK, spanning NAB, Clemenger BBDO and now Visit Victoria.

In his role as Head of Global Brand and Consumer Marketing, Ben is responsible for the development of Visit Victoria’s brand strategy and consumer marketing delivery to promote Victoria as a premier visitor destination. 

He is a firm believer in the power of creativity to solve business problems and a lover of big ideas.

Ben Wood

Director, Marketing and Media Performance, Financial Advisory, Deloitte, Shanghai

Over 25 years of work experience and responsible for practice development of a new media performance division that I have set up for Deloitte.

Came from Accenture, where I worked for 10 years and was the APAC media lead for Media Management.

Strong trusted advisor track record and reputation with over 16 years within independent media consulting at blue chip organisations, as well as strong agency background.

Involved in 100s of media related assessment programs including many high-profile China and APAC wide media projects.

We have a developed sports industry practice, I am particularly trying help sports codes , brands , clubs understand the China , Asia opportunities both inside markets like China as well as investment from China to Australia.

Britt Wickes

Head of Event Brand Marketing, Tennis Australia

With over 17 years in creative agencies and more recently making the move client side, Britt is an experienced advertising and marketing professional, leading brand strategy and development of iconic, global brands. Passionate about achieving results through insight driven strategies that are engaging and effective whilst simultaneously leading happy, enthusiastic teams to achieve outstanding results. Spending the majority of her career driving local and global brands to success.

Britt has a deep understanding and passion for what it takes to accelerate achievements. Thriving in high energy environments and has demonstrated an ability to be 5 steps ahead of the current plan and to keep multiple balls in the air. Doing this all while maintaining meaningful connections with stakeholders, partners and consumers that extend beyond a mere transaction. Britt creates connections that are enduring and powerful.

Charlotte Woods

General Manager, The Brand Builders

Charlotte Woods is passionate about elevating the athlete pathway through personal brand development. In her role as General Manager and content developer at The Brand Builders, she empowers athletes with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to confidently identify and activate their brand.

She has personally mentored hundreds of professional and elite athletes in their brand development in Australia and around the globe. Charlotte combines strategy and a creative approach to help athletes identify their unique value and leverage their brand to achieve their vision and goals.

With a Masters in writing and the co-author of The Athlete Brand, Charlotte designs and delivers Athlete Brand education programs for local and international sporting organisations.

Daniel Chlebowczyk

Director, Events Engine

With over 15 years in the industry, Daniel has worked with many of the most significant brands in gaming and esports. Both as organiser in community events, and marketer bringing campaigns to life, this experience is brought together with the specialist events, production and marketing team as Director of Events Engine.

One of Australia’s first esports professionals, Daniel represented the nation in world finals events and televised leagues. As an organiser, continues to build pathways in local and international esports. This includes Australia's largest open entry esports event, Battle Arena Melbourne (BAM), attracting players globally as world tour destination for Street Fighter, Tekken and more.

In agency Daniel has managed gaming strategy, PR, community and esports services for Hi-Rez Studios, Blizzard, Epic, IEM, Xbox and more while contributing to awareness of esports as a commentator, event host and writer for The Age/SMH, Kotaku, Gamespot, and ABCTV.  

Passionate about the power of gaming to build communities, create inclusive opportunities at every level of play from gatherings of friends, to grassroots tournaments up to major events with huge audiences.

Dominique Down

Head of Integrated Strategy, MKTG Australia

Dominique has over nine years of experience in the industry, working in the UK and Australia across the Sports, Entertainment and Media landscapes. With a passion for creating strategic solutions for a broad range of clients that are always grounded in data and insights, she has experience in sport and media strategy and planning, OOH strategy, experiential production and the creation and commercialisation of new strategy and data products.  

She has worked across many blue-chip clients across a wide range of sectors, including Mondelez, Unilever, Jaguar Land Rover, Diageo, British Airways and Adidas, alongside working across major codes and leagues, including the AFL, Cricket Australia, Football Australia, the World Surf League and the PGA. 

Emily Taylor

Chief Strategy Officer, M&C Saatchi Group

Emily is Chief Strategy Officer for the M&C Saatchi Group and brings over 20 years of experience launching products and growing brands. A quick thinker with a passion for getting under the skin of business problems and finding killer creative solutions, she has experience in leading teams to successfully build businesses and brands across a range of categories from travel to retail and from FMCG to tech and gaming. Emily has worked in both creative and digital agencies, as well as an early stint in management consultancy, and has experience overseeing teams with skills that span from brand and comms all the way through to CX and data.

Ezechiel Ritchie

Country Manager ANZ, Jellysmack

Ezechiel is Country Manager ANZ at Jellysmack, the global creator company that detects and develops the world’s most talented video creators & media companies through technology. Ezechiel joined Jellysmack from Taboola where he set-up the ANZ office and was responsible for brand & agency partnerships across Australia & New Zealand.

Originally from France, Ezechiel started his career at Xing, a European Professional network, before joining Google where he spent 6 years working with brands & agencies in France and more recently Australia. Ezechiel is also a husband and father of a little 2 year old girl Ela.

Greta Gotterson

General Manager – Digital, National Rugby League

As General Manager – Digital for the National Rugby League, Greta Gotterson leads strategy and capability across digital product and data. She is passionate about using digital technology to improve and reinvent the fan and participant experience.

Inspired by the NRL’s highly engaged fanbase, Greta has gradually become a league fanatic over her 5 years in the game - but refuses to disclose any club allegiance for the purposes of this bio.

Greta loves being a part of and driving the digital transformation journey of established brands. Prior to joining the NRL, Greta was putting her digital nous to work at Network Ten and Choice.

Hayden Shiels

Director, Events Engine

An entrepreneur with 10+ years’ experience in the video game industry, Hayden began his career with love of the hobby and a knack for connecting with audiences developing one of the first successful Youtube gaming channels in Australia, boasting a subscriber base of over 120,000.

Competitive passions led to formulating teams, becoming an internationally recognised player in competitive character shooters Overwatch, then Paladins. This opened doors to world travel as the Paladins team went from best in Australia, to living and playing professionally in the USA, rising to 3rd in Paladins World Finals back-to-back 2017-2018.

As part of his pro player journey Hayden created Kanga Esports, a team organisation built to support players careers. Hayden continues to build businesses in gaming. Recently, co-founded gaming events and marketing company Events Engine, which provides expert services in the space from the authentic viewpoint of gaming specialists, while also managing a portfolio of esports league operations.

Indy Khabra

Co-Founder & CEO, Livewire Group International

Indy is the Co-Founder and CEO at Livewire, a global gaming marketing and gametech company the connects brands to the gaming audience. Livewire creates integrated gaming marketing strategies, using their experience with gaming publishers, talent, digital platforms, and emerging technology to design campaigns and deliver solutions in web2 and web3 environments.

A respected media and communications leader, Indy has international executive experience managing multinational companies. He has over 15 years' in data, technology and digital media, and a subject matter expert in Ad-Tech, Mar-Tech, and Programmatic.

Indy loves plays FIFA22 as a lifelong soccer fan.

Irena Farinacci

National Inclusion and Diversity Coordinator, Tennis Australia

As a deaf woman with a profound hearing loss, Irena is passionate about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in society without barriers. Currently, Irena is the National Inclusion and Diversity Coordinator with Tennis Australia who has overseen a range of inclusion initiatives through tennis which include delivering the Glam Slam event held during the Australian Open for the past 3 years. In addition, this year Irena and her team delivered the AO Pride Day for the first time in Australian Open history.

With a Diploma in Management, Irena enjoys thinking outside the box, problem solving and collaborating with team members bringing projects to life.

Irena has also been involved within the deaf and hard of hearing community having worked at Deaf Sports Australia and also as a volunteer with Deaf Sports Recreation Victoria, Deaf Basketball Victoria and Deaf Basketball Australia. Her involvement with the Australian Deaf Women’s Basketball Team also saw her represent Australia at two Deaflympic Games, one that was held in her hometown of Melbourne in 2005.

Julia Lehepuu

Marketing Lead, Australia and New Zealand, South East Asia and India, Xbox

With over 15 years of experience and over 10 of that in the video game industry, Julia Lehepuu is Marketing Lead for Xbox, Australia and New Zealand, South East Asia and India and responsible for integrated marketing across the entire gaming portfolio across hardware, studios and services.

Julia’s passion is creating high impact first to market campaigns, ensuring that all ideation and execution fosters the Xbox ethos of “Gaming for Everyone” that brings both inclusivity and joy to fans. She has led creative activations to launch the Xbox Series X|S , Age of Empires IV,  Flight Sim, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. Julia has also worked creative and integrated partnerships with many brands including Lynx, Arnott’s, Fergburger, July Luggage, Sydney Youth Orchestra and many more.

Kim McConnie

Marketing Director, Kayo Sports

Kim McConnie has had an extensive career in sport, spanning from Brand Sponsorship side through to the Rights Holder and now the Broadcaster. 

This career includes more than a decade with PepsiCo which included a 4year stint leading Pepsi Sports Sponsorship including the famed Pepsi Halftime show at the Super Bowl.  Missing Australia, she then headed back home to experience Sport from the rights holder perspective, leading the charge as the General Manger for the Big Bash Leagues in Australia.  Bringing her US Sports Entertainment experience to BBL.

Now she is the Director of Marketing at Kayo.  Kayo Sports is home to the world’s most comprehensive sports streaming service.  With over 50 sports instantly streamed, live and on demand.  It is a cutting edge, digital business that brings both sports and technology together to deliver fans a unique, world class sports streaming service.  

Lewis Evans

Head of Product, 9Now

Lewis joined Nine 12 months ago as the Head of Product for 9Now, and has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors at Freeview Australia.

Lewis is a product and design leader who's been a long term champion for audience-led design's ability to drive innovation and growth in the hotly competed streaming industry. Lewis has led large scale product and design teams at four of the biggest brands in Australia including; 9Now, SBS On Demand, Telstra TV and Telstra TV Box Office (formerly Bigpond Movies). His product leadership guided the launch and continued growth of Telstra TV to its position as Australia's #1 Set Top Box, the overhaul of SBS OnDemand's audience experience with support for multilingual audiences at its core, and is currently working on projects that will put 9Now at the forefront of the future of live broadcasting. If you're spending marketing dollars in BVOD or just keen to talk about the TV's future then have a chat with Lewis.

Liana Dubois

Liana leads Nine’s marketing solutions division Powered By Nine. Her previous roles include senior sales roles at both Nine and Network Ten where she has held positions including Sydney Sales Director and National Sponsorship and Assets Director.  Liana is passionate about the power of creativity, big thinking and big ideas and its ability to both inspire consumers and drive results for brands.

Luke Haynes

Strategy Director, M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment

Luke is Strategy Director at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, an agency built around the philosophy that brands are more relevant to the lives of real people if they connect with them around their passion points - whether that’s netball, heavy metal, Fortnite, rugby league, sourdough baking, bushwalking, cycling and anything in between.

We help brands find a space to play in culture, and work with them to show up in a way that is authentic, meaningful and adds value.

Experienced in developing integrated marketing communication strategies and effective solutions by leading teams to develop and deliver business profitability, and enhanced brand equity.  Commercially minded and a champion of the customer, experienced in delivering go-to-market, customer-first campaigns based on consumer needs, purchasing behaviours, market insights, and media landscape trends.  Passionate and self-motivated leader, who has spent the last 6 1/2 years working in cricket with a focus on marketing fan engagement and experiences.

Matt Chandler

Executive Creative Director, DDB Sydney

Matt Chandler is DDB Sydney’s Executive Creative Director. He joined the agency in 2013 as a Senior Copywriter, and was promoted to Creative Director in 2016 and Deputy Executive Creative Director in 2019, before being elevated to ECD at the start of 2021.

Matt's award-winning work has been recognised at shows including Cannes, One Show, Spikes, NY Festivals, LIA Awards, AWARD, Adstars, Facebook Awards, AdNews Awards, B&T Awards, Ciclope, Creative Circle and Campaign Big.

An active participant in the industry, Matt is co-head of AWARD School in 2022. He has tutored and judged AWARD School on several occasions, as well as judging the AWARD Awards, APAC Effies and Cannes Young Lions, and serving as a mentor for the Free the Bid program. In 2019, Matt was the sole creative listed on AdNews Top 20 Emerging Leaders list.

Matt Rudd

Matt has spent the last 15 years working with the major Australian sporting codes. From 2005-2014 Matt worked at the Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) focusing on managing AFL and Cricket Australia multi million dollar advertising signage budgets. He was also identified as a future leader of the DAN

In 2015, as Executive Director of Techfront Australia, he worked with the AFL in the transformation of the MCG and Etihad Stadium into LED, whilst formulating a National 360-degree LED Signage Program in the major stadiums of QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, WA, TAS, which was also utilised by Cricket Australia.

Working with Techfront’s parent company Global Sports Commerce Matt was responsible for managing new divisions working closely with the teams in Asia, Europe and USA.

Prior to emigrating to Australia in 2003, Matt worked in Canary Wharf, London for the Daily Mirror Newspaper for 5 years,  launching a  ‘Student Mirror’.  Prior to that he worked for EMAP publishing group.

Nicole Gardner

Executive Director - Account Management, Edge

Nicole has a passion for problem solving that she applies to all aspects of her role - be it a new communication challenge, building a team or driving the smooth operation of a business.

Her career has spanned a great variety of brands and industries including FMCG, Sporting Events, Technology, Finance, Retail, Tourism and Government as she has moved between Brisbane, London and Sydney.

Nicole first worked on integrating brands authentically within the LGBQTi community back in 2006 with PUMP water’s sponsorship of Mardi Gras.  In late 2021 have secured the Tennis Australia content account, she worked closely with Tennis Australia and the Agency team on the creative development and implementation of this year’s  AO’s campaign with particular emphasis on the evolution of AO Pride and the Glam Slam.

Patrick Millington-Buck

Patrick is a Sports and entertainment marketing specialist with over 10 years international experience. Working alongside a number of major brands, rights holders and suppliers to create meaningful campaigns that deliver successful campaign outcomes. Patrick was shortlisted in the 2019 Mumbrella Next Awards for specialist marketing talent and 2021 Marketing Week Mini MBA Graduate. 

Paul Malina

General Manager - Client Management & Partnerships, TLA Worldwide

Paul has spent his 20 plus year career working with some of the world’s most iconic brands in Australia and the USA.

Paul grew up in Melbourne and after a stint traveling the globe as a professional X-Games athlete, spent 10 years working in the USA with Red Bull prior to coming home to take up roles such as Head of Sports Marketing at Red Bull Australia and National Partnerships Manager at CUB.

As part of the Consultancy division at TLA, Paul oversees Client Management, Partnerships, Strategy and Commercial Development for their stable of brands including clients such as NAB, CUB, Ampol, Woolworths, Nissan, Chemist Warehouse and Bunnings.

AT TLA, Paul’s focus is managing a team of passionate people who support their clients to achieve optimal relationships with their partners through valuation, acquisition, leverage and activation through TLA’s many service areas including Strategy, Content, Creative, PR, Social Media, Events and Retail Marketing.

Paul Winslow

Paul is a marketing and publishing all-rounder, with experience establishing and managing brands, editing magazines and websites for brands like KIA, Toyota, Lloyds, Essential Bali and creating customer focus content. His career to date spans e-commerce, fintech, sport, technology and travel, spanning major brands and start-ups.

In his current role as Chief Marketing Officer for Aspire 42, his focus is on launching new brands and business models within disruptive markets. Brands that fall under Aspire 42 include consumer leasing and personal finance service, Snaffle, Local Experts, and Madison Healthstyle.

Stephanie Rudnick

Head of Global Communications and GM, Experiences + Events Team, MKTG Sports + Entertainment; Head of PR, Angel City FC

Stephanie Rudnick is a seasoned brand management and communications strategist with nearly 25 years of experience across numerous industries-sports, entertainment, lifestyle, technology, auto, travel, and luxury. She has looked after the personal brand management of dozens of A-list athletes, actors, musicians, and some of the world's leading brands throughout her career and is an expert storyteller and connector.

She relocated from New York City to Sydney in January 2021 and rejoined MKTG Sports + Entertainment as the head of global communications and also the GM of the agency's award-winning Experiences and Events team.

Concurrently, Rudnick also heads up PR for Angel City Football Club, the professional women's soccer team in Los Angeles founded by Natalie Portman and counts Serena Williams, Billie Jean King, Eva Longoria, Gabrielle Union, Mia Hamm, and over 60 other notable, active investors committed to making an impact on and off the field.

Tony Broderick

Director, Marketing ANZ, Netflix

Tony Broderick is the Director of Marketing (ANZ) for Netflix, leading our marketing teams across title + brand campaigns, editorial + publishing, and partnerships for Australia and New Zealand. In his 15+ years experience, he’s had the pleasure of working for some of the world's leading companies in the creation, distribution and marketing of content including Fremantle (producers of global formats like The X Factor, Got Talent, Grand Designs and The Apprentice) and Twitter (where he developed content partnerships with every major TV network, producer and publisher in Australia). He was also Creative Director at Zinc Network, a strategic communications agency that helps communities, brands and governments drive positive social change. He’s been fortunate enough to be mentored by, and partnered with, media industry leaders across the UK, US, ANZ and Asia-Pacific and is a passionate advocate for Inclusion and Diversity.

Vickie Saunders

Co-Founder, The Brand Builders

Vickie Saunders is passionate about human rights at all levels, a little left-field, and loves to be immersed within work that matters. Author of 2 books on the subjects of athlete brand and athlete sponsorship, Vickie is a recognised thought leader who loves to share her knowledge in creative and meaningful ways.

Working globally, Vickie and her team have developed their own unique educational concepts and content, delivering their services within the sport, corporate and for-purpose sectors.

Zara Curtis

Zara has spent more than twenty years building successful content properties and led large teams in Publishing, TV production, and Brand Marketing. Zara is a passionate champion of content strategies and the power of creativity to change the way brands and businesses interact with customers both now and in the future. Zara describes herself as “A leader of innovation, creativity, and people for commercial business success”. 

Zara forms part of the leadership team for IAGs’ marketing as Director of Content and Customer Engagement and leads the Content team made up of journalists and producers and social media experts, the Internal Content studio production that services all of IAGs’ content needs: Co.Lab and Performance Media and Personalisation teams tasked with delivering content that drives engagement and builds deeper relationships with customers.
