Ten wins the night with help from Shark Tank and Masterchef

Season three of Shark Tank premiered last night on Ten managing 749,000 metro viewers, taking Ten to an overall win.

The program was the eighth-most-watched show of the evening, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Ten managed an overall win for the night with a 17.7% overall audience share, while Seven came in second with 17.1%, ahead of Nine’s 16.8%.

Meanwhile ABC managed 11.6%, beating SBS’ 5.2%.

Winning the night for entertainment programs was Ten’s Masterchef, which attracted 913,000 metro viewers.

Masterchef was the most-watched program in key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Meanwhile Seven’s Home and Away pulled in 753,000 metro viewers.

In news for the evening Seven News at 6pm won the night with 1.083m metro viewers, beating Nine News’ 1.069m.
