Town Square lands Chervon account after competitive pitch

Full-service creative agency Town Square has been appointed as the agency of record for global power tool maker Chervon across Australia and New Zealand. The announcement was made after a competitive four-way pitch.

The Melbourne-based agency will manage brand strategy, creative, media, digital, social media, content development, activation and trade communications for Chervon’s extensive portfolio of brands.

 

Town Square’s first work will be for the Ego Power Plus range

Town Square director Harry Corsham said the two companies shared similar ideals and would no doubt produce great work together.

“Chervon has ambitious plans to disrupt the status quo and significantly grow its challenger brands in markets that are relatively mature,” Corsham said.

“For an agency such as ours, which also has a challenger mindset and a clear growth agenda, this represents a massive opportunity to introduce real innovation into a category which has become functional and formulaic.”

Town Square’s first work for the company will be released in spring and will be a fully integrated campaign for Chervon’s Ego Power Plus range of outdoor power equipment including mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers and blowers.

In addition to its appointment for the Ego brand, the agency will undertake work for Chervon on a portfolio of new brands to be introduced to Australia and New Zealand over time.

Jason Ellis, marketing manager at Chervon Australia, said the company is excited to be working with Town Square.

“Town Square demonstrated a clear understanding of the category, our brands and how we can best achieve consideration in a cluttered market with some compelling creative ideas. We look forward to working closely with the team across our entire product portfolio,” said Ellis.
