Kitty Walker
Kitty Walker has worked in the media and arts industry for 10 years. She developed strong skills in media relationship management with Victoria Police where, along with many other projects, she was the primary point of contact for all security-related media enquiries during the 2006 Commonwealth Games. She then took on the role of 2IC to the Head of Media at the National Gallery of Victoria. It was here that she fostered strong relationships with arts and news media, government and corporate stakeholders, before heading up the publicity team at The Australian Ballet as Media Relations Manager. She toured Australia with the Ballet for two years, including a highly successful international tour to Japan, before moving into the (non-touring) role of Strategic Communications Manager. During this time she has taken on clients in a freelance capacity including the international sustainable engineering firm WSP, film collective The Apiary and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service – working on rebranding, researching, grant writing, copywriting and editing projects.
