Johanna Baker-Dowdell
As a child, Johanna always wanted to know what was happening in the world around her and asked lots of questions. Imagine her delight when she discovered you could make a career from sharing stories.
Johanna recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Tasmania and is currently studying ‘Social Media as a News Source’ for her PhD. She worked as a journalist at several newspapers before trying her hand at marketing and public relations.
Using her ability to build relationships and tell a great story, Johanna built her freelance writing and public relations work into a business and launched Strawberry Communications in 2007, now generating amazing publicity for SME clients around Australia and the world.
Johanna is mum to two boys who add an extra dimension to life and business, and loves baking in her down time.
