Michael Dye
I’m a highly motivated, experienced and versatile TV Series Producer, Director and Post Producer with a background across several TV genres. My work is all about delivering solutions, on time and on budget. This entails creative problem-solving, multi-tasking, thinking on my feet, and ‘big-picture’ thinking. But equally, I like drilling down on the details of staffing, scheduling, budgets and planning. To think laterally, embrace change and implement it effectively is a vital skill in my work. As such, I am an experienced manager of people and resources.
I am a natural leader with experience of running both large and small teams, whilst keeping calm and focused. But experience and skills will only get you so far: clear and effective communication is vital if goals are to be obtained, and stakeholders remain satisfied. Fundamentally, this entails knowing how to work with other people. So, I aim for clear briefs, delegation and empowerment, so the team are motivated and working towards a common goal.
I am used to working and negotiating with people who have differing, and often conflicting agendas. I am confident in diplomatically managing the expectations of different stakeholders, and maintaining good working relationships. I revel in finding and delivering ‘win-win’ situations for all stakeholders involved.
