Program Description:

This is an open call for emerging curators (under 30) worldwide to submit proposals for ARTROOMS 2017, International Contemporary Art Fair for Independent Artists set in the January 2017.
ARTROOMS is an innovative concept of art exhibition that offers independent artists the opportunity to exhibit their artworks in an intimate dimension, shortening the distance between artists, curators and visitors. The unique setting of a luxury hotel room becomes a pioneering way to access art and to meet galleries, art organisations and other partners.
ARTROOMS solicits ideas for projects taking innovative curatorial approaches for an experimental format. Curators are invited to present a speculative project by the end of July. The Artrooms team will then select 50 emerging curators who will be invited to work with selected artists and to present a new proposal. By the end of September we will announce the 10 finalists.
The curator associated with the chosen proposal will curate a section of the fair – featuring 4 or more artists –from the 20th to the 23rd of January 2017.
Curators will also participate to the program of conference and talks, and will have a dedicated page on the fair’s catalogue. Our juror is Cristina Cellini Antonini, founder and co-director of the Artrooms Fair.

Application for ARTROOMS 2017 is £20 and if you apply before the 15th of March you pay only £ 10.
Please Note: APPLICATIONS MAY GO SOLD OUT. We may decide to close the application before the deadline. Still, once the payment of the fee has been provided, you have time until the end of June to send the Application Form.
