Framed Networking Session: Spin Out Q&A

This is an insightful session exploring the benefits of long running collaborative relationships, and the challenges and opportunities presented when working on a project with a long development timeline.

Co-directed by Australian comedy legend, Tim Ferguson and former Open Channel Executive Director, Marc Gracie – Spin Out is an all-Aussie love story between Billy (Xavier Samuel) and Lucy (Morgan Griffin) set over the course of one night at a bachelors and spinsters ball in regional Victoria.

The first feature film for both Tim Ferguson and co-writer Edwina Exton, Spin Out had its world premiere at CinefestOz in Western Australia before hitting cinemas in September through international distributor Sony Pictures Releasing.

We speak with Director / Producer, Marc Gracie; Writer / Director Tim Ferguson; and Co-writer Edwina Exton about the inception, development and production of this hilarious home-grown comedy.
