AFTRS Open short courses – AFTER EFFECTS FOR BROADCAST GRAPHICS

This weekend intensive provides a detailed introduction to desktop compositing for broadcast using Adobe After Effects CC. After Effects is the most commonly used graphics program in Australia for the preparation of broadcast design/graphics in TV.

It is a program that allows new levels of creative freedom for designers, animators, art directors and editors. Participants will gain an understanding of desktop digital animation and compositing environment and how it is used for broadcast graphics.

This course is suitable for editors who use NLE systems such as Avid or Final Cut Pro for titling and also broadcast designers looking to gain AE skills, interactive media producers, graphic designers or art directors wanting creative control over broadcast graphics.

This is a hands-on course and each student will be working in a lab-based environment and will be allocated an Apple computer for the course duration.

The course is given by Anna Tow, an Industry practitioner with 10 years of Broadcast graphic experience and consists of lectures, demonstrations, question and answer sessions and intensive practical production exercises.
