Presentation Skills

http://www.aftrs.edu.au/short-courses/presentation-skills/5427

Delivering exceptional presentations requires both content that connects to the audience and good technical presentation skills. This intensive one-day workshop will teach you how to understand your audience and craft the content to create an engaging presentation that has impact.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Using real-life work scenarios, you will learn the craft of how to structure your presentation and the techniques of how to deliver it effectively.

The class size for this workshop is small to ensure that you get individual advice on how to:
– control your nerves and find your authentic voice for impromptu and
rehearsed speeches
– present in different environments using props, microphones and lecterns;
use body language, gesture, voice and eye contact to engage your audience and communicate more effectively
– present effectively for video, webcast or Skype through intensive on-camera exercises.
You will collaborate with other participants and give feedback on their performances to help each other define what a good presentation looks and feels like.

Our Presentation Skills courses are taught by media industry veterans who are both journalists and presenters and who understand how to prepare and craft the content of a presentation, so they differ frim most actor-taught presentation training as they cover the skills related to both the substance and the style of presenting, as well as teaching the importance of the audience experience.

WHO SHOULD DO THIS COURSE
This course is suitable for anyone wanting to improve the way they present, from inexperienced public speakers to competent presenters.

“I was taken out of my comfort zone and pushed to improve. While this was daunting it was done in a very supportive and constructive environment and I feel like I learnt a lot in just one day.”

“Loved the course. Tracey is a fabulous presenter – knowledgeable, highly skilled and personable.”
