10-year BMF veteran Clare Yardley joins Enigma

Enigma has continued to strengthen its creative output, with the appointment of Clare Yardley as its new head of creative services.

Yardley joins the independent creative and media agency from BMF, where she was resource and creative services director. She spent ten years with the agency.

She also has experience with Saatchi & Saatchi, The Campaign Palace, and a couple of freelancing stints over the years.

Yardley is charged with embedding agency-wide processes to drive efficiency, foster cross-department collaboration, and contribute to business growth for the agency and its clients.

“To find an agency that genuinely values creative operations in the process of producing excellent work is fantastic,” she said in a media release on Thursday.

“I love the energy of the place and the people, and can’t wait to start shaping how we work.”

Her appointment is the latest in an effort to boost Enigma’s creative capabilities.

Simon Lee joined Enigma from The Hallway earlier this year as the agency’s first-ever CCO, and first leader to join as a partner. His first major hire was Aldo Ferretto, who joined earlier this month as creative director and head of art, also from The Hallway.

Lee said Yardley’s appointment is a “key hire”, because “a great creative services director provides the emotionally intelligence oil that keeps an agency humming”.

“The brief was to find a talismanic figure to take on this role, and that’s Clare down to a tee,” he said in the release.

“She has a great energy and has worked closely with many of the best in the business – it goes without saying (but I’m saying it anyway) that we’re delighted to have her on board.”

Earlier this year, Enigma also announced the promotions of Justin Ladmore and Amy Dascanio to chief media officer and managing director, Enigma media, respectively. The agency welcomed Joanne Lilley as Sydney’s managing director that month as well.
