2014 Annual: Best of the Bondi Hipsters

It’s been a big year for the Bondi Hipsters  Dom and Adrian, from ads for Old Spice to selling Fridge Juice, and a cheeky nomination for a coveted bachelor of the year prize, Here’s some of their best bits.

If you’re a disaffected urban youth who’s struggling through life, then it’s probably the fault go corporations, and banks, and stuff.

But then of course some of those big corporations can also provide you with the money you need, so why not lend your talents to them with your own take on one of the ads of the year? #sorrynotsorry

Hipsters cannot live by integrity alone

As if to prove the point Christiaan Van Vurren admitted it really has been tough for them to make ends meet whilst refining integrity, admitting “I’m legitimately broker than I have been in my entire life”.

But these boys are nothing if not innovative, and soon they soon came up with the next big fitness fad, Fridge Juice. Of course there’s only one way to market such a life-changing diet, an advertorial on The Morning Show.

And to end the year on a high note both Dom and Adrian managed to get the nod for a place in the final shortlist. Unfortunately their parody answers to some pretty penetrating questions were pretty much imperceptible from the real answers of some of the actors, AFL stars and plumbers they were up against.

The duo yesterday came out with a new ad for Vittoria Food & Beverage and its Espressotoria Coffee Capsule System. The ads also feature brand ambassador George Calombaris and include lines like: “we make our babycinos from the tears of actual babies”.
