International Screen Academy (ISA) unites leaders in screen education with only the very best students, domestically and internationally, to create graduates who have the tools to successfully compete in the fast changing screen industry. With their first intake of students in 2013, ISA have created a curriculum that teaches their graduates to work in all modern mediums, developing relevant life and business skills to manage their career as well as introducing them to industry leaders in Australia and abroad so they graduate with the confidence and the tools to be a leader in their field. With 2014 applications closing on the 15 November, it is time to act now for your chance to be taught by industry leaders who have trained the likes of Cate Blanchett, Sam Worthington, Richard Roxburgh and Baz Luhrmann.

What is unique about ISA is that they have created a purpose built building with state of the art facilities to ensuretheir students are trained in all modern mediums including digital, TV, Film, Gaming, 3D, and high-end effects, enabling them to specialise in either acting, film production or animation. The premises consist of two main acting auditoriums, five flexible learning spaces, audio mastering suite and editing studio. “It has been apparent for a while that there was a hole in the Australian market for an acting school that teaches students the skills to perform on screen with today’s technology. Since 2008 I have been researching the possibility of a fully accredited screen-acting course. After a very positive and supportiveresponse from all areas of the industry, the Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Screen Media became a reality with the establishment of the International Screen Academy. It is amazing to see the students excelling, from the knowledge of the teachers at the academy and the facilities that are available to them.” Tony Barclay, ISA Creative Director

ISA recognises that today’s actors have a ‘brand’ and trains their graduates to be industry savvy with the knowledge of how to best represent their brand to the world and manage their career. They are also the only acting school in Australia to have a Los Angeles office, giving their graduates the distinct advantage from the get go when it comes to introducing their student to industry leaders in Australia and abroad.

ISA are now accepting audition applications for 2014. Be taught by screen education leaders such as Bill Pepper, one of Australia’s great voice teachers, Kevin Jackson, former teacher of NIDA and the American Conservatory, and choreographer Julia Cotton, who has worked with the Australian Dance Theatre and Company B Belvoir. If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a great actor, apply now at http://www.isasydney.com.au/auditions to launch your journey to be a screen industry leader. Applications close 15 November.
