Cricket thriller takes Nine to ratings win

The dramatic last-ball conclusion to last night’s Twenty/20 cricket game helped Nine to a ratings win for the night following a winning first week.  

The network won the first week of the official ratings season with 31.6% share of free households, it was revealed over the weekend. Seven followed with 27.5% with Ten on 20.4%. ABC took 15.5% and SBS 5%.

Last night, the start of the next ratings week, saw an average of 1.6m tune in for Nine’s cricket, according to the OzTam figures.

Seven had the top rated news show, while Ten’s So You Think You Can dance had a strongish performance of nearly 1.4m includign a 46.6% share of 16 to 39-year-olds.

Nine took the day with a 31.9% share, followed by Seven with 28.6%; Ten 24%; ABC 11.6%; SBS 4.5%.
