Zoolander 2 performs well on limited release but Dirty Grandpa tops box office again

A limited pre-release of the heavily spruiked sequel to Ben Stiller movie Zoolander shot into third place in a quiet week at the box office, as Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally dropped below the million-dollar takings mark for the week.

Zoolander 2, with Stiller reprising his role as the dim witted male model, managed $922,775 on just 125 screens across the weekend.

Dirty Grandpa held onto top spot for a second week taking just shy of $1.5m on 230 screens with total takings now at $4.6m as The Revenant was in third taking $1.069m on 316 screens with total takings for the Leonardo Di Caprio movie topping $17.5m.
