800,000 metro viewers tune in to watch celebs disrobe on Seven’s All New Monty: Guys and Gals

800,000 metro viewers tuned in on Sunday night to watch Seven’s latest All New Monty which saw Australia celebs including Sam Johnson, Wayne Carey, Danielle Spencer and Patti Newton take it off to raise awareness for men’s and women’s cancers.

717,000 metro viewers watched the episode leading up to the performance. The show drew 1.211m national viewers for the performance and 1.064m for the episode.

In the same slot, Nine’s The Block drew 928,000 metro viewers for its episode and 997,000 for the room reveal. Nationally, the show delivered 1.280m and 1.331m for the two portions respectively.

Ten’s Lindy Chamberlain: The True Story brought in 365,000 metro and 552,000 national viewers.

The Block also topped all three of the key advertising demographics – 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s – followed by Nine News which brought in 1.132m metro viewers overall, making it the most-watched show of the night with metro audiences. Seven News delivered 1.087m.

It was a good night on the ABC with Landline bringing in 480,000 metro viewers, Grantchester 440,000 and The Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty 433,000.

The win for the night overall went to Nine with a channel audience share of 23.6% and a network share of 31.3%. Seven held 20.2% and 27.6% as a network. ABC secured 12.0% as a channel and 16.6% as a network, while Ten slipped to 10.0% as a channel and matched ABC on 16.6%. The most-watched multi-channel was 7mate with 3.9%.

Ten also premiered its new multi-channel, 10 Shake, which drew a 0.4% audience share.
