97.3FM unveils new TVC campaign for Robin, Terry & Bob

Australian Radio Network has launched a new TVC campaign for its Brisbane breakfast show on 97.3FM – Robin, Terry and Bob.

The trio reunited at the start of 2020, with Robin Bailey returning to the station after a stint at Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M Melbourne, to reunite with Terry Hansen and Bob Gallager.

But so far they’ve failed to propel 97.3FM back up the breakfast ratings as ARN might have hoped, with the show ending 2020 as the 7th-ranked breakfast show in Brisbane, with an 8.2% share.

Now, in partnership with ARN’s marketing and content teams, Sydney-based agency Emotive has developed a new TVC, which has been released as part of ARN’s marketing rollout with activity across TV, large format, street furniture, digital and print, BVOD and social in the coming weeks.

The spot features Sia’s 2020 hit ‘Together’, and Emotive creative director, James Pash, told Mumbrella the TVC aims to capture the mood lift that the show provides for its audience

“With the new spot for 97.3FM we really wanted to celebrate the natural chemistry between Robin, Terry, and Bob, which the playful animation and upbeat track really captures.

“Just like the show itself, we think this will give everyone who sees it a little mood lift in their day.”

ARN will also be rolling out marketing across Sydney and Melbourne for its WSFM and KIIS 101.1 stations in the coming weeks, having pushed out campaigns for Sydney’s KIIS 101.1 and Melbourne’s Gold FM in January.

ARN marketing director, Donna Gordon, said the campaign is designed to show the “fun and warmth” of the show.

“We’re excited to launch this new campaign for Robin, Terry & Bob. The colourful and uplifting TVC brings to life the fun and warmth of the show, perfect for this moment in time when we’re all looking for some positivity.

“The creative process with Emotive and Cre8 was truly collaborative and we’re very proud of the results.”
