‘A community-first approach is important to us’: Times News Group launches three regional newspapers
Times News Group has added three newspapers to its regional network of mastheads.
The Byron Coast Times, Tweed Coast Times, and Ballina Times each launched into their markets last Friday, with Times News Group now boasting a stable of 13 mastheads across Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales.
“Welcoming the NSW North Coast to the TNG community, we aim to provide the news and information you need to make important decisions in your life, without opinion, or agenda,” the group said in a statement.
“Whether it’s the people working hard to make the community a better place, the groups who make a meaningful difference, the events that bring us together, or that hidden gem just waiting in the wings, we’re here to tell those stories.”
Times News Group managing director, Warick Brown, said: “A community-first approach is important to us. We aim to share hyperlocal news content free in print, online, and across socials.
“We focus on providing important information about events, entertainment, sport, and all things property in our real estate guide. Our goal is to offer a great reader experience and highlight ‘what’s good about where we live.
“People still love a printed paper, especially one that is well-designed, looks welcoming, and has great local stories that help readers feel connected.”
