ABC crashes into Podcast Ranker listings
The ABC has landed 34 podcasts into the Top 200 of the latest Australian Podcast Ranker, marking the first time the broadcaster’s content has been up for inclusion in the chart.
Conversations with Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski was the highest-ranking ABC podcast for the month of November, sitting at #5 with 5.489 million downloads across 22 new episodes, from 538,786 individual listeners.
ABC News Daily is the ninth most-listened to podcast on the chart, with 385,108 listeners, and 1.2 million monthly downloads.
If You’re Listening came in at #24, pulling 193,692 listeners, and 535,971 downloads; ABC Sports Daily landed at #28 (182,335/325,697); and the Dr Karl Podcast pulled 134,443 listeners to land at #41.
Late Night Live (#45) and What’s That Rash? (#48) also debuted in the Top 50.
On the overall chart, Hamish and Andy once again took the top spot, and the honour of being the only podcast with over one million unique listeners for the month of November.
Casefile landed at #2, with 883,406 listeners, ahead of third place Shameless, who drew a massive 651,112 listeners.
