ABC trumps news.com.au in online news readership
As we swing into election season, international wars continue to play out, and a new US President enters office, ABC News has gained 731,000 readers in a month, while News.com.au has shed over 400,000.
This is according to the new Ipsos Iris data, which saw ABC News back on top as the country’s most-read news site. The national broadcaster drew 12.48 million readers during January, a 6.2% jump from December. News.com.au dropped 3.4% to slide into second, with 11.76 million readers.
Interestingly, ABC isn’t the only outlet to see a substantial leap in readership. Daily Mail Australia’s audience grew 12.1%, to reach 8.65 million, while the Guardian climbed to 7.96 million, a 8.9% increase.
Yet, sadly we will end up with a potato as PM..
And yet we’ll still end up with a potato as PM…
I think you will find that the growth is because they are getting closer to having all entities who report ABC content and code it so that they can be included on the scoreboard.
