ABC1 rebranded as the “intelligent” option

ABC TV’s rebranding process has begun, as ABC1 unveils its new look to position the channel as “the home of intelligent entertainment”.

According to ABC1 controller Brendan Dahill, the rebrand will “broaden the perception of what the channel is”.

The campaign will be supported with on-air material produced in collaboration with The Lab, utilising an updated ABC1 logo and a new colour palette of blue and burnt orange. It will include genre-specific idents that will screen throughout the year.

ABC2 will also unveil a new look in April, with ABC3 expected to follow.
