Ad industry challenged to rock Triple M

Rock station Triple M is challenging ad agencies to come up with their dream radio show – and have it broadcast.

The Semi Pro Radio initiative invites anyone who works in the Australian advertising industry to fill two hours of airtime.

The finalists will produce their pilot shows at Austereo studios and then have them broadcast on the Triple M Network on Sunday nights.  The winning agency will be awarded $5,000 cash and a $30,000 airtime package.

Austereo group content director, Guy Dobson, said: “Semi Pro Radio gives creative’s the chance to get famous beyond the ad industry. As long as the content is legal, there are no restrictions on an entrant’s concept. We could uncover creative talents who, one day, could be heard on one of our main shifts. We all know some creatives can act famous, now here’s their chance to back it up.”

Entries are now open at www.semiproradio.com.au.

The initiative coems days after Triple M’s parent company Austereo revealed its plans for digital radio including a dedicated Pink Radio channel for the duration of the singer’s Funhouse Tour.
