Adam Rigby to lead LivingSocial as Fabig shifts to chairman role
Group buying site LivingSocial has named chief operating officer Adam Rigby as its executive GM for Australia and New Zealand.
He replaces boss Colin Fabig who moves into the part time role of chairman.
Rigby previously co-founded JumpOnIt which was bought by LivingSocial earlier this year.
Rigby said: “There are many fantastic opportunities yet to be explored in the group buying sector, and I am thrilled to be taking the lead for positioning LivingSocial in the market in Australia and New Zealand.”
Prior to JumpOnIt, Rigby was COO of financial comparison site JumpOnIt.
Rigby is the second move in the Australian group buying sector this week. Patrick Schmidt, previously co-CEO has moved to lead Groupon’s Latin America business, leaving Tobias Teuberas sole CEO.
