Adelaide radio ratings: Nova closes in on Mix while Hit’s breakfast changes pay off

Nova narrowed the gap with FM rival Mix102.3 in the first GfK radio survey for 2019, picking up 1.0 points to finish with 11.2% share in the people 10+ demographic.

Mix’s 13.3% share was up 0.4 from 2018’s final survey, with 2019’s first survey period running between January 20 and March 2.

The two stations easily beat out once-dominant AM station FIVEaa, which continued 2018’s slide, falling 0.6 points to 9.3%. The drop put it behind HIT107, which picked up 0.2 points to finish the survey with 9.6% of the audience.

FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings saw a further slump in the slot, declining 1.0% to 12.4% while Hit107’s new breakfast lineup of Rebecca Morse and Andrew Costello picked up 1.9 points to take 9.7% of the audience, slightly behind Nova’s 9.9%

At the other end of the day, 5MMM was the big winner with the Jars & Louie and Kennedy Molloy drive time combination picking up 2.5 points to finish with 9.7% of the audience.
