Adelaide radio ratings: Race for the lead heats up in book of major movers

ARN’s Mix 102.3 has maintained a very slender lead at the top of the Adelaide radio ratings in GfK survey seven, despite surrendering a strong lead as it dropped back 2.3 percentage points to 11.5%.

ABC Adelaide’s Ali Clarke has also maintained her lead in the breakfast slot, also experiencing a dip in market share, as her show fell 2.1 points to a 15.8% overall share.

In the race for overall station share, five stations are in touching distance of the lead, with ABC Adelaide closely following Mix, also falling a point to a 11.3% share, with the market showing little overall similarities to the talkback dominated Melbourne and Sydney.

Nova’s FIVEaa made up for a successive book’s of decline, recovering 1.7 percentage points to land on a 10% overall share, narrowly sandwiched between Cruise1323 on 10.1% and Nova on 9.9%.

Talkback did lead the breakfast slot, following Clarke was FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings, who reversed survey six’s result exactly, making up the 2.4% dip, to return to a 13.6% share.

Leading the FM breakfast pack was the again rising Roo and Ditts on Triple M, increasing their share to 10.1% overall, after Mix102.3’s Erin and Soda dropped from 10.7% to 9.4%. The Triple M pairing last week became Roo, Ditts and Loz after adding Laura O’Callaghan to the lineup.

After a strong showing last book, The Hit Network’s Bec, Cosi and Lehmo on SAFM fell 0.6 points to 9% overall, closely followed by Ben and Liam on Nova on 8.7%, who showed little movement this survey.

The standout in the drive slot was Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel, who recovered last month’s drop to lead, ahead of Mix’s Will and Woody, who had a disappointing showing, falling 2.4% to 11.2% overall.

Five stations will be in contention to close out the year as the number one station in Adelaide, ahead of next months final survey for 2021.
