ADMA boss appointed to chair international direct marketing body

Jodie Sangster, boss of the Australian Direct Marketing Association has been appointed as chair of the International Federation of Direct Marketing Associations.

Tuesday October 4, 2011 –

Jodie Sangster, CEO of the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) has been appointed Chairman for the International Federation of Direct Marketing Associations (IFDMA) effective immediately.

IFDMA brings marketers together to collaborate on global initiatives, keep abreast of International developments in the direct marketing arena, track and learn from international approaches to compliance developments and issues and share thought leadership and best practice to creating a global community. It comprises of 23 direct marketing associations from five continents.

As chairman, Jodie Sangster will be responsible for setting the agenda for global discussions relating to direct marketing and establishing a strong global community.

Jodie Sangster said, “I am looking to build tighter relationships between direct marketing associations worldwide so we can better leverage the initiatives, projects, developments and learnings that we each bring to the table.

“For marketers the benefits will be collaboration on leading edge direct marketing practices, compliance issues and marketing standards, consolidated learning through education, best practice and case study collation, as well as global research, trends and benchmarks.”

“For Australian marketers my appointment means that global learning will be delivered directly to the local market and ensures that Australian marketing practices will be promoted and discussed on the world stage, with representation in global direct marketing initiatives.”
