Adtech firm Pixability launches in APAC with DoubleVerify’s senior leader at helm

US-based video adtech company Pixability has expanded into Australia, with adtech leader Poppy Hill at the helm of local operations.

Hill, who will be Pixability’s managing director in APAC, joined from DoubleVerify where she was the APAC senior group director of integrated solutions.

Pixability’s services include AI-driven contextual targeting, brand suitability and performance on YouTube and other CTV platforms. Hill said that Australia is “a mature market with healthy competitors in brand suitability and performance services”.

“Marketers in Australia already understand the nuances related to measuring brand suitability, particularly on YouTube, which is a key consideration when evaluating their advertising strategy,” she told Mumbrella.

“Marketers thinking about differentiation in these services should consider the business implications of applying new technological progress that helps solve problems dealing with massive amounts of data and video content.

“The recent hype around GPT and GANs reflects a disruption to the way we have analyzed video context in the past. Pixability uses AI to fine-tune our models to assess the suitability of video content and also to avoid a lot of false positives.”

In other regions, Cadi Jones also joined as managing director in EMEA from Qmee (acquired last year by Kantar), where she was chief commercial officer.

CEO of Pixability, David George: “Cadi and Poppy are experienced leaders with deep understanding of the challenges advertisers in their markets face relative to brand suitability, wasted impressions, and transparency.

“As demand for our unique YouTube/CTV technology and data solutions continues to grow globally, this is a perfect time for us to bring on board such impressive executives to help scale our presence and get closer to our customers in key regions.”
