Advertising Week to launch in Sydney in 2018
The organisers of the Advertising Week event are to add Sydney as the fifth global city to hold the gathering, which will take place in Australia in August next year.
The conference – owned by US-based event company Stillwell Partners – will be run locally by Clive Prosser, previously a sales director with Fairfax Media’s regional arm.
The plans to launch Advertising Week in Sydney were announced in London where Advertising Week Europe is currently taking place.
Last September’s Advertising Week New York saw Mumbrella organise a panel session featuring some of Australia’s biggest success stories who have made it in the US.

Along with New York and London, Advertising Week last year launched in Mexico City and Tokyo too.
The event typically features discussion panels, seminars and presentations around key advertising and marketing issues along with social gatherings in the evenings.
As well as Fairfax Media, Prosser also previously worked as a sales manager for ACP Magazines (now known as Bauer Media).
Nic Jones, who was MD of digital for Starcom in Australia before going on to global roles for the agency and for music platform Vevo, will chair an advisory panel for the event, following his return to Australia.
Stillwell Partners Matt Scheckner said: “Clive and Nic are fantastic additions to our team with the connections and tactical presence needed as we expand into Sydney. ”
