Advertising champs beat Seven’s superheroes

Gruen Planet topped Seven’s Marvel’s agents of SHIELD last night and was Wednesday’s top entertainment show with 909,000 viewers, preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam show.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD was close behind with 889,000 total viewers across the five cities and was sixth for the night.

Its the first time the panel show focussed on the advertising industry hosted by Wil Anderson has overtaken Seven’s US Avewngers import since it launched to 1.3m on October 3.

Meanwhile Hostages on Channel Nine had 650,000 viewers and was third in the 8.30pm time slot, followed by Ten’s Sydney beach drama Wonderland. Wonderland had 507,000 total viewers and was 19th for the night, but 12th in people 25-54.

The Big Brother live eviction on Channel Nine was the top program in people 25-54 and number one in its 7-8pm time slot with 853,000 viewers. The show was seventh for the night in all programs.

Seven’s Slideshow’s ratings slipped to 729,000 across the five cities and was 11th for the night but second in the 7.30pm time slot after Big Brother.

Channel Ten’s reality dating contest The Bachelor had a total of 614,000 viewers and was the network’s top rating show. The Bachelor was 14th in all programs and fifth in people 25-54.
