AFL helps Seven to an easy win on Friday night
Friday night’s AFL match between the Collingwood Magpies and the Richmond Tigers which saw the Tigers take the win 98 to 66, helped Seven to an easy Friday night win.
The primary channel held 24.7% of the audience share with 570,000 metro viewers tuning in to watch the match which aired on Seven in Melbourne and Adelaide, and 7mate in all other markets. Combined with regional viewers, the overall viewership was 786,000.

The AFL was also the most-watched by audiences in the key advertising demographic of 18-49s, while Seven News was most-watched in the 25-54s.
Seven also had the most-watched show of the night in Seven News which brought in 917,000. Nine News delivered 769,000. The Chase Australia was the most-watched entertainment program with 589,000 metro viewers.

Ten’s most-watched for the night was The Living Room which brought in 397,000 metro viewers.
Overall, Nine held second spot behind Seven in the audience share, drawing 15.50% over Ten’s 9.30% and ABC’s 8.10%. In the network audience share, Seven held onto the top spot with a significant 35.90%, over Nine’s 26.00%, Ten’s 14.40%, and ABC’s 13.10%. Nine’s Go was the most-watched multi-channel on 5.90% over 7Mate’s 5.00%.
