Michael Stutchbury, editor-in-chief of the Financial Review,  said editors will carefully select content to meet consumer needs.

“Our experienced editors will ensure it has the right selection of stories, so you always know what the biggest events and developments of the day are,” Stutchbury said.

“We know our readers are busy throughout the day, coming in and out of meetings, on and off planes, or even just commuting. Our new app has been designed to be an easy-to-navigate, fast app to meet these demands.”

The universal interface is a progression from the Financial Review’s iPad app, and aims to make access easier for consumers.

“Being in the know is essential for our audience, and the new app will deliver breaking news through push notifications – ensuring a great value-add for subscribers and busy professionals on the go,” Zak said.

UTS Business school, launch partner of the application said the innovation was key for information distribution in the business industry.

Professor Roy Green, Dean of UTS Business School said: “UTS Business School is a pioneer of innovative business thinking and education, with technology a key component of our delivery and research platforms, so we share with Financial Review the focus on disseminating incisive business information to professionals in a format that meets their needs.”
