AFR relaunches quarterly Luxury lift out with Lauren Sams as new editor
The Australian Financial Review’s redesigned Luxury quarterly has been launched, the first edition under the editorship of Lauren Sams.
Previously the features editor at Bauer Media, Sams is also doubles as the AFR’s luxury correspondent along with editing the publication’s glossy lift out.
Luxury’s first edition in the redesigned format sees Miranda Kerr on the cover and features an interview with the Australian model about her US-based organics business.
“With the redesign steered by art director Chloe Yeoman and design director Tim Beor, the new Luxury has been elevated and modernised,” Sams said.
“In the same way the AFR Magazine tells the story behind the stories of Australian business, politics and culture, Luxury will now tell the story of the people who shape the luxury industry, here in Australia and globally.
“We will cover all pillars of the luxury industry, from fashion and beauty, health and wellness to food and wine, as well as our core traditional areas.
“My goal is simply for Luxury to be a cracking read, and with some of Australia’s best writers, under the auspices of Australia’s leading financial publication, I have no doubt it will be.”
Lauren is an amazing editor – I’m so excited to see her particular brand of humour and smarts in the pages of the AFR. What a killer cover to kick off with, too.
