Agnes Media appointed by tech-recycling company Zolo

Independent media agency Agnes Media has been appointed by technology recycling company Zolo.

The announcement:

Agnes Media has been appointed by Zolo, Australia’s first profit-for-purpose tech-cycling company, as it looks to scale by helping businesses meet their sustainability objectives

Agnes, which was engaged without a pitch, will manage performance media and digital marketing for Zolo across business-to-business channels to drive greater brand awareness and engagement with mid to enterprise-level organisations.

Zolo was founded by former Optus marketer Franz Sisat and entrepreneur Ryan Zhou to support businesses to properly manage their technology waste in a way that’s better for the planet and better for people too. It collects corporate e-waste including laptops, tablets, mobile phones, PCs, cables and servers, and after refurbishment, donates a portion of the technology to support the education of children around the world.

Clean Up Australia estimates that around 88 percent of the four million computers and three million TVs purchased every year in Australia end up in landfill, with fewer than one percent of TVs and around 10 percent of PCs and laptops recycled every year.

Siasat added: “We appointed Agnes Media because of the agency’s experience in working with startups and their ability to scale in order to drive media efficiencies and business growth. We look forward to working closely with Charlotte and the team to tell the Zolo story to new audiences.”

The Sydney-based independent agency specialises in working with clients that have aggressive growth and measurement goals, helping them optimise their digital marketing campaigns and improve return on investment and advertising spend. In addition to performance media strategy, planning and buying, Agnes provides campaign management, analytics, SEO and creative design services.

Agnes Media founder and CEO, Charlotte Ward said: “Zolo is an innovative startup that addresses the increasing issue of e-waste facing corporate Australia, done through an ethical and philanthropic lens. We’re delighted to have been appointed by them to scale their business and drive awareness amongst key decision makers using performance media channels. I can’t wait to see what 2021 brings for the Zolo brand”

Agnes Media’s clients include buy now pay later platform Klarna and responsible super fund Active Super.
