Spotify’s sales boss Andrea Ingham has been named the new vice president of business partnerships at BuzzFeed.

The announcement comes almost three months after the departure of David Nemes, Buzzfeed’s vice president of brand strategy.

In her new role, Ingham will oversee brand partnerships across BuzzFeed’s portfolio, which include BuzzFeed Originals, BuzzFeed News and media brands Tasy, As/Is, Goodful and Nifty.

Matt Drinkwater, senior vice president of international brand strategy at BuzzFeed, said he had confidence in Ingham’s ability.

“Andrea brings a wealth of sales and management experience and a breadth of knowledge from across the media landscape that will take BuzzFeed’s business to the next level in Australia,” Drinkwater said.

Ingham, who commences her now role in October, added: “I’m thrilled to join the BuzzFeed Australia team, particularly at such an exciting moment, as the company pushes beyond the digital advertising space into new lines of business.
