Andrew Davis switches from UM to digital role at Initiative
Universal McCann’s colonisation of sister agency Initiative is continuing with Andrew Davis drafted in as digital director.
Davis was previously a client service manager at UM where he worked on brands including Microsoft, Xbox, and AAPT.
His move follows Chris O’Keefe’s appointment as Sydney MD of Initiative. He was previously a senior client services director at UM.
Davis’ digital director role is a newly created one.
O’Keefe said: “Andrew’s strong digital background and experience with key clients makes him our ideal digital lead in Sydney. He will be a valuable internal resource for our service teams, and our clients will benefit greatly from his leadership and insights.”
Universal McCann and Initiative are both part of Mediabrands, which is headed by Henry Tajer who is also CEO of UM.
Upheavals at Initiative have been underway since the sudden departure of boss Roger Camplisson nearly two months ago.
Makes you wonder why they need a CEO with all this going on in the absence of one

Work with Andrew. Would be hard pressed finding a better person for the role. Well done.

I remember when Andrew used to deliver my mail at UM when he was in dispatch. That was only 5 years ago…You’ve done well Andrew!
