Anny Havercroft departs Mediacom Melbourne
Anny Havercroft, managing director of Mediacom Melbourne has announced she is departing the agency.
Havercroft has been at the helm of the agency over a difficult two years, which saw Mediacom’s Melbourne office lose a number of large local accounts, including the AFL and Specsavers in the past year.
Sean Seamer, CEO MediaCom ANZ, said: “Anny has been a key member of our team and has made many contributions to our success since joining in 2007. Her commitment and passion to our Melbourne team and clients has been exemplary and we thank her, whole-heartedly, for the effort that she has put into the business over that time.
“On a personal note, Anny and I have known each other for a long time, and she has been a valued friend and colleague. I know that she will be missed and on behalf of Mediacom Australia, I’d like to wish her well for the future.”
Havercroft said of her departure:“Having had a long and fruitful career at Mediacom, I’m looking forward to applying my wealth of people and product experience to a start-up environment.”
Brett Elliott, a 17-year veteran of the agency, will continue in his role of general manager in Melbourne, overseeing the day-to-day operations. Earlier this year, the agency also lured former Mitchell and Partners’ managing director, Allen Scash, out of retirement to be its new non-executive chairman.
The agency also noted Nicole Boyd, the former Brisbane head of the agency, who earlier this year relocated to Melbourne, would also be there to assist, with Seamer saying: “We’re very fortunate that Nicole has returned to Melbourne after several successful years as the managing director of our Brisbane office, where she had a great track record of business growth, award wins and the strongest client satisfaction scores within Australia.
“Brett has been with us since the start and is a critical part of our leadership team. Adding Nicole’s experience to the business here only further strengthens our commitment to our people and our client’s in Melbourne.”
Her “wealth of product and people experience” … The massive exodus of clients and senior staff says otherwise. There must be more change at Mediacom Melbourne to give Mediacom a chance to bounce back.

All the best Anny! You did a great job despite tough times. The culture there is a lot stronger than ever before and MediaCom is well placed to bounce back. The agency will miss your positive attitude and personality.

Hopefully with a new management team the culture will be reinvigorated after so many staff and clients leaving.
Good to see Mediacom taking this in their stride and planning for the future.
