ANZ highlights dangers of being unprepared at house inspections in latest ‘Buy Ready’ ad

ANZ is comparing those who know what to look for at house inspections with those who don’t, in a comical spot featuring two men as they decide if a house is for them.

Created by TBWA Melbourne, the launch ad features a couple, Claire and Patrick, celebrating with champagne for almost buying a house that sold for more than they thought it should have.

The ad ends the line “it’s not just knowing when to say yes, it’s knowing when exactly to say no.”

A second ad spot sees Patrick – a man who knows what he’s looking for – using the ANZ Property Profile Report to look up information about a prospective home, while fellow inspector Angus – a man who doesn’t know what he’s after – taps on walls, plays with the clothes-line and looks in cupboards.

The ‘Know what to know’ campaign aims to show consumers how important it is to have the best information at hand when buying a home.

Carolyn Bendall, head of marketing, Australia division at ANZ said ANZ Buy Ready is about “removing uncertainty” and “instilling confidence” in consumers.

“Not only does ANZ Buy Ready give our customers the confidence to say ‘yes’ and act, which is what we have shown in past Buy Ready campaigns, we have demonstrated in our latest campaign it also gives you the confidence to say ‘no’,” Bendall said.

The latest work is part of a wider ANZ Buy Ready campaign which first launched in September 2013.

‘Know what to know’ will run across print, out-of-home, social, digital and TVC.
