ANZ marketing boss Karen Donaldson departs
The marketing boss of the ANZ Banking Group Karen Donaldson has departed the company, Mumbrella can reveal.
Donaldson has served as head of marketing for the ANZ’s Australian division for the past three years.
Head of consumer marketing Carolyn Bendall takes over Donaldson’s responsibilities temporarily, while the company searches for a new chief marketer.
According to Nielsen, the banking giant spent $56m on main media between July 2012-June 2013. The ANZ’s agencies include PHD as its media agency and Whybin/TBWA Melbourne as its creative agency.
Prior to joining ANZ, Donaldson has served as a partner a marketing and communications consultancy Springboard Marketing. She has also held senior marketing roles at GE and Diners Club.
ANZ said it was currently searching for a replacement and an appointment would be made in the new year.
