APG to discuss synthetic biology and personalised healthcare

The Account Planning Group will discuss the world of synthetic biology and its impact on personalised healthcare and reproduction with speaker Romain Bonjean, co-founder & CEO of genetics firm Lumigenix

The announcement:

The Account Planning Group is venturing into the world of synthetic biology for its next event, looking at the critical impact this field is having on personalised healthcare and reproduction.

The APG has secured speaker Romain Bonjean, Co-Founder & CEO of genetics firm Lumigenix, to talk modern genetics, genomics and bioinformatics for its Ideas exchange, held March 15 in Sydney.

Romain will discuss the future possibilities of synthetic biology and the impact it will have on our increasingly complex lives.

Romain is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lumigenix, Australia’s first genomics company.

His company assists in the realisation of personalised medicine and understanding of genetics, by developing genomic tests and presenting results in an easy to understand way.

Prior to Lumigenix, Romain worked in various high-technology start-ups, including co-founding iVox LTD, Australia’s first wholesale VOip enabler.  It was his experience in technology, as well as his personal experience with a genetically driven disease that lead him to found Lumigenix.
