Archibald Williams launches A. Women platform

Archibald Williams has launched A. Women, a platform for women within its network in advertising and marketing,

The announcement:

Think a-league, but less testosterone and much cooler.

Yes, A∙Women is a platform for the women at AW, and within our network in advertising and marketing, to come together. To learn, grow, share, lead, create, and find support and inspiration in their careers.

Women account for approx. 50% of AW’s team, but we know that’s not the norm in our industry. And while the numbers are obviously there across marketing and advertising, the agency’s team has acknowledged that it’s still a different world for women.

The platform has been launched by the women at the AW team, led by their Head of Client & Strategic Services, Kiranpreet Kaur, as a way to celebrate women and what they bring to our industry.

The philosophy:

Women are different.

We see the world differently. We have different stories, different perspectives, different processes – and they bring diversity to how we create, lead, and work.

And, we like different.

And we truly respect different.

So, we’re celebrating women. .

Advertising women.

Boss women.

Creative women.

Decision-making women.

All women.

The platform will act as a space for discussion, discovery and development. Sometimes this may come to life as an event, sometimes an article, sometimes a program or partnership – the key thing is that it acts as the foundation and instigator of ideas that help women prosper (at AW and beyond).

“While we launched on IWD, the idea is to celebrate women every day. I’m so incredibly proud of this initiative and the passion and support it’s created along the way. Not to mention, the conversations – women telling their stories, resonating with each other, and confidently putting their “female” card forward without hesitation. There’s lots more to come and we can’t wait to work with others in the industry to be part of the change.”
