ARN and Seven lead gains on the Unmade Index

Thursday saw generally good growth on the Unmade Index, with the majority of companies rising.
ARN led the pack with a 6.06% gain — you’d have to assume unrelated to the news of its Brisbane breakfast show being canned (and a statement implying Kyle and Jackie O are not going into Queensland after all).
After Seven’s generally well-received but somewhat muted upfront in Sydney last night, SWM rose 3.7%. The move was not reciprocated by its proposed merger partner Southern Cross Austereo, the biggest loser of the index at -2.84%. SCA officially released a glossy annual report today, but the market had seen all the data in August.
Vinyl Group (2.22%) Nine (1.26%), Ooh Media (1.07%), Ive (1.1%) and Gumtree (1.8%) all gained ground. Enero and Motio slipped marginally.
