ARN promotes Deborah Clay to national news director
Australian Radio Network has made its news director position in Melbourne and Adelaide redundant, promoting Sydney/Brisbane news director Deborah Clay to a national role.

Deborah Clay promoted to national role
Clay will be responsible for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth with news director – Melbourne and Adelaide Emily Hoskins leaving the business after her role was made redundant.
The appointment follows a national review of ARN’s news strategy and aims to provide a more streamlined format, in line with other key areas of the business.
ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell said: “Emily has been with ARN close to 14 years and has made many great contributions over this time. She is a passionate news person and has taken great pride in the level of news content Melbourne and Adelaide produces. I would like to personally thank Emily for all her hard work and commitment to ARN and wish her the very best.”
The world ends at Parramatta Road. So much for the rest of Australia.
Financially would it not be cheaper to base your news department in Adelaide or Perth – far cheaper rent, etc!!!
