Australian Bankers’ Association CEO Anna Bligh to keynote Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit

Anna Bligh, the CEO of the Australian Bankers’ Association and former Premier of Queensland, is to to deliver the opening keynote address at the Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit.

Since joining the ABA Bligh has been at the forefront of working to strengthen the culture in Australian banking and improving customer experience.

She will talk about how the industry is working to improve public sentiment towards the institutions, including by better explaining banks’ role in society and how they’re continually evolving in response to customer needs.

Bligh joined the ABA after a long career in politics including becoming the first woman in Australia to be popularly elected as the Premier of a state.

Jo Kelly will look at how UBank has introduced Australia’s first home loan chatbots

Also joining the Summit will be UBank chief marketing officer Jo Kelly who will reveal how the bank has moved into the future, launching Australia’s first home loan chatbot.

Kelly will also look at how UBank has moved into the cloud, adopting cognitive solutions to the challenges its customers face.

George Lucas on how Acorns is changing the way Australians invest

George Lucas, chief executive officer of emerging investment platform Acorns, will chart the journey of the start-up in Australia and how the business is luring a new generation of investors with a model that allows them to round up their purchases through payment platforms and use the funds for investment – all operating through a mobile app that has placed the brand at the cutting edge of the financial services industry.

The trio join other speakers including Westpac chief marketing officer Martine Jager speaking for the first time on the bank’s approach to it’s 200th anniversary, Google’s head of financial services Colin Barnard on the how consumers are taking control, and IAG’s first ever chief marketing officer Brent Smart on how to break the cycle on low involvement marketing

The Summit will also see the release of exclusive research by Yell Creative on the state of Australia’s financial services brands.
