Australian Open night two draws in 630K metro viewers as Nine takes Tuesday

Nine’s Australian Open won entertainment on Tuesday night as the network also celebrated another overall network share win.

The second night of the tennis tournament, in which Nick Kyrgios defeated British qualifier Liam Broady, aired to 635,000 metro viewers. The game also won key advertising demo, 16-39.

Next in non-sport entertainment was Ten’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here that saw an average of 622,000 metro viewers, while also winning key advertising demo, 25-54.

ABC’s 7:30 Summer aired to 498,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven’s The Chase Australia which saw 497,000 metro viewers tune in.

Sevens’ Cricket Big Bash League, a game which saw Hobart Hurricanes win against Melbourne Renegades, aired to 269,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Tuesday was Seven News which aired to 1.007 million metro viewers, while Seven News at 6:30 had 944,000 metro viewers, and Nine News on 887,000.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 35.8 over Seven’s 22.7%, while Ten had a 20.1% share, and the ABC took a 13.1% share.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 9Gemwith a share of 5.7%.
