The Bachelorette gains more than 100,000 viewers while The Block dominates

The Bachelorette gained 105,000 viewers for the first episode of finale week, which saw Georgia build on her connections with Jake, Lee and Matt after home visit week.

The second last episode for the series pulled 697,000 viewers and was in the top three across the key advertising demographics (16- 39, 18-49, 25-54).

Despite The Bachelorette’s climb in the ratings, Nine’s The Block was the most watched non-news program of the evening with 910, 000 viewers tuning in at 7:30pm.

The Block was the top show across the 18-49s, and 25-54s, however was down on last week’s 1.032m viewers.

Also in the 7:30pm slot, Seven’s High Patrol achieved 658, 000 viewers.

On the news front, Seven won the night, with 983,000 viewers at 6:00pm and an audience of 928, 000 at 6:30pm.

Nine wasn’t far behind, its 6:00pm news program pulling 924,000 viewers and 952,000 viewers tuning in at 6:30pm.

Seven’s Beach Cops, which aired at 8pm, pulled 661,000 viewers, down from last week’s audience of 684,000 for the season premiere.

This was ahead of the ABC’s Hard Quiz, which had an audience 508,000 metro viewers.

The third episode of Seven’s Beach Cops, which aired at 8:30pm, pulled an audience of 557,000.

The program fell behind Nine’s Doctor Doctor, which aired at 8:40pm, grabbing an audience of 777,000 viewers.

Doctor Doctor won the later time slot, also ahead of Ten’s The Wrong Girl, with 501,000 viewers, and the ABC’s Upper Middle Bogan’s 478,000 viewers.

In the audience shares, Channel Nine won the night at 20.9%, well ahead of Seven’s 16.9% and Ten’s 13.7%. The ABC wasn’t far behind, with an audience share of 11.5% and SBS, an audience share of 5.7%.
