Bananas in Pyjamas, Hamish & Andy and Australia make top Australian Facebook pages

Top Facebook Pages A study of popular Australian Facebook pages suggests three TV programs, a snack food and Tourism Australia are the most popular brands on social media.

The study conducted by digital agency The Online Circle, includes a list of most popular sites by the number of “likes,” as well as lists that include travel, alcohol, ASX listed companies and several other categories. The last study was released in February new reports are released quarterly.

The data was provided by analytics company SocialPulse, which has recorded the “Australia” page has nearly 4.1 million likes while the next highest page is Bananas in Pyjamas with nearly 2.2 million likes.

Also making up the top five are Hamish & Andy (1.75 million), Pringles Australia (1.34 million) and Home and Away’s official page (1.08 million).

Of the top 30 Facebook pages listed, Packed To The Rafters was lowest at 425,894 likes.

Domino’s Pizza Australia was the top ASX-listed company with 850,790 likes.

The value of social media branding has recently drawn controversy, with websites like Condescending Corporate Brand Pages launching and featuring many Australian brands.
